A.W. Jacks, of Moberly, formerly of Clark, passed away at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, MO on January 9, 2018

A.W. was born the son of Ellis Leon and Grace Margaret Baehr Jacks in Kansas City, MO on November 11, 1942. He married Norma Jean Hawkins August 22, 1974 in Moberly.

He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church where he served on the Board of Trustees. He was a farmer and a carpenter and built several houses in the area.  He was retired from the University of Missouri Campus Construction Services.

A.W. was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Jean, and four daughters; Lori Hibbs (Mark) Moberly; Amy DeSousa (Sal), Hanford CA; Jenifer Monckton (Kevin) Rocheport, MO; Andrea McKeown (Michael Don), Moberly; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren; a sister, Carol Mazanec ( Phil) Sebring, FL.; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Hawkins (Barbara) Blue Springs, MO, and Larry Hawkins, Baton Rouge, LA; niece, Mendy Hosic (Wade) of Firth, NE; nephews, Kenneth Fenton (Maria) of Brandon, FL and Brian Fenton (Jennifer) of Columbia, MO; extended family and many friends.

Visitation for A.W. will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Services celebrating his life will be held Sunday, January 14, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery east of Renick. Memorials in A. W.’s honor are suggested to the New Hope Cemetery c/o Bonnie Kisor, 3582 Hwy. NN, Moberly, MO  65270.
