Christine Irene Corn, 65, of Moberly, went home to be with her Lord on November 1, 2018. She passed away, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Christine was born July 5, 1953 in Germany. She was adopted by Earl Carlson and Gurli Carlson when she was three years old. Christine received her naturalization papers and become a U. S. citizen. Her father was a career military man and Christine was privileged to have lived in many different places during her childhood. When she married Bobby Dean Corn in Macon on the 14th day of April in 1973, she became what was to be a lifelong resident of Moberly.
Christine was a member of Carpenter Street Baptist Church. She returned to school in her mid-forties and was a graduate of MACC, earning her Associate Degree in Nursing, RN. She was also very active in Girl Scouts where she served as a troop leader, as well as, a community leader. Christine was a very political person and was always encouraging others to vote. She was a dedicated and caring registered nurse and was well respected by her patients, as well as co-workers.
Those preceding Christine in death are her parents; her husband, Bobby; son, Jason Carlson; her in-laws, Harold and Margie Corn and brother-in-law, Butch Corn.
She is survived by her children, Deena Halfmoon and her husband, Victor of Hutchinson, KS and Olivia Corn of Moberly; grandchildren, Hadley Betts of Moberly and Daniel Halfmoon and Nathan Halfmoon both of Hutchinson, KS; nieces, nephews; extended family and friends.
Graveside services for Christine will be held Monday, November 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Mount Salem Cemetery north of Jacksonville.
