Biography

Gerald Wayne Twyman Sr. 70, of Moberly, passed away at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis on December 8, 2017.

Gerald was born in St. Louis, MO January 5, 1947 to Roy Twyman and Virginia Wheelbarger Twyman.  On September 3, 1999 he married Deana Redifer in Randolph County.

He had attended Sweet Springs Baptist Church in earlier years and most recently attended the Assembly of God Church in Moberly.  Gerald worked in Chicago in construction.  He was accomplished at landscaping and lawn care, and also worked at Custom Composites in Clifton Hill before retirement.  Gerald loved spending time with his family and friends.  He especially liked fixing pancakes for the kids and grandkids and playing dice and cards with his friends. He was also great at barbecuing and he had a wonderful sense of humor.

Those preceding Gerald in death are his parents; brothers, Kenneth and Bobby Twyman; an infant brother, Dennis Twyman and father-in-law, Harold Dean Redifer.

He is survived by his wife Deana of Moberly; children, Gerald Twyman Jr. of Columbia, Debbie Wilkerson of Moberly, Daniel (Dani Zumwalt) Twyman of Mexico, Tracey Twyman, Amber Redifer, Christy Dutton, and Sarah Dutton all of Moberly; numerous grandchildren who will miss him fiercely; siblings, Charlie (Glenda Barron) Twyman of Moberly, Everett Leroy (Rhoda Lee)  Twyman of Huntsville; Jerry Lee (Sue) Twyman,   Larry (Vicki) Twyman, Sharon (Larry) Esry and Debbie Kitchen all of Moberly; mother-in-law, May Redifer; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Ware; brothers-in-law, John Thomas Redifer and Harold “Riley” Redifer all of Moberly, extended  family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Echoes of Calvary Church located at 516 Hagood in Moberly.
