Biography

Vernon Edwin Head, 83, of Moberly, passed away at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia on Monday, November 20, 2017.

Vernon was born in Purdin, Missouri on July 7, 1934 to Walter R. Head and Blanche Barclay Head.  He was united in marriage to Vickye Lesta Burrus on April 17, 1962.

Vernon was an engineer for the Missouri Highway Department where he served as a supervisor for the building of bridges. Those preceding him in death are his parents and wife Vickye; brothers Alan and Eldon Head.

He is survived by his daughter Ginger Albright and husband Ben of Moberly; grandchildren Adrian Albright of Moberly and Paige and David Oehrle of Moberly; great-granddaughter Reese Oehrle; siblings Dorothy Ramboger, Chattanooga, TN, Richard (Ann) Head of Columbia, Gilbert Head of Kearney, MO; in-laws Mike and Ande Spears, Moberly, Mike and Donna Burrus of Cairo, Donald and Jan Burrus of Illinois and Ron and Marilyn Slaughter of Osage Beach, MO

Services will be held Sunday, November 26, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Inurnment will take place at a later date.
