Ada Alice [Thomas] Brewer May was born in Brookfield, MO on January 14, 1926, the daughter of Arthur R. Thomas, Sr. and Opal Lydia (Elmore) Thomas. Ada lived most of her life in the St Louis MO area. Ada is survived by her cousin Joann Taylor of Camdenton, MO, sister-in-law Maxine Thomas of Huntington Woods, MI; 4 Nieces and their spouses Linda (JW) Ballinger; Sue (Gerald) Gillispie, both of Moberly MO; Cindy (Michelle) Thomas-Hagerman; Bloomfield Hills, MI; Sherry (Mike) Thomas-Boyd of Battle Creek MI, and her Nephew and his spouse Randy (Fred) Thomas-Tovich of Ferndale, MI; her step daughter and son-in-law Mindy (Chuck) Shields of AZ, and step son-in-law John Seyfarth of MI, her 5 step grandchildren, Olivia Seyfarth and Rachel Seyfarth of MI; Katlin Curry, Laurel Shields, Chuck Shields of AZ, as well as 10 Great Nieces and Nephews, Amanda Mullen, Amelie Ballinger, Josh Ballinger, Cory Gillispie, Jeremy Gillispie, Tommy Gillispie, Matthew Boyd, James Boyd, Aurora Thomas-Hagerman and Quinn Thomas-Hagerman, and 12 Great Great Nieces and Nephews, all who loved and adored her. She is precedent in death by her Husbands Thomas Brewer and Richard May, her Brothers Elmore (Moe) Thomas, Robert Thomas and Arthur R. Thomas Jr; sister-in-law Frances Thomas, two Step-daughters Christie May and Stephanie Seyfarth, two great nephews John W. Ballinger IV and Zander Gillispie and her canine life companions, Candice, Suzzette, and Chaddy. Ada was a life long member of the Methodist Church and was a member of Green Trails Methodist Church, Chesterfield, MO for several years. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 71 years and participated in many small church groups. She was employed for many years in the Insurance and medical Industries. Ada was surrounded by lifelong and new friends and enjoyed living these last years at Friendship Village in Chesterfield, MO The visitation will take place beginning at 10:00 AM on Tuesday Sept. 1, 2020 at Million-Taylor Funeral Home in Mobery, MO with the service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
