Ada B. Meeks

Ada B. Meeks, 87 of Madison passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at her residence. Ada was born to the late Herbert and Helen (Goss) Boots in Alpha, Iowa on October 3, 1926. She married Garrett Meeks in 1949 and lived in the Cedar Rapids, IA area until moving to Middle Grove, MO in 1972. Ada worked for Toastmaster in the Press for a few years before she decided to stay home with her grandbabies. She later moved to the Madison area. Ada loved sewing and especially liked taking care of her animals. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garrett who passed away in 1998; brothers: Paul, Leroy and Alvin Boots; sisters: Virginia Boots and Loretta Gladwin. Ada is survived by sons: Gary Meeks of Madison, Mo, and Michael Meeks of Oran, MO; daughters: Terry Meeks of Bermuda Run, N.C, and Cindy White and husband William of Farmington, IA; brother, Herbert Boots and wife Sandra of Vinton, IA; sisters: Dorothy Wolf of Stanwood, IA, and Karen Danes of Springville, IA; granddaughters: Angela Nortrup and husband Jeremy, and Kimberly Boyer and Husband John; great grandchildren: Aidan, Nadia, John Augustus, Emmett, and Addison; as well as many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Ada will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 6:00 p.m until 8:00 p.m at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m in the Chapel of Million Taylor. Burial will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Madison, MO.
