Aileen Kroner Riley

d. December 8, 2014

Aileen Susan Kroner Riley, 63, of Moberly, passed away December 8, 2014 at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. Susan was born November 13, 1951 at the Woodland Hospital in Moberly, MO to Donald Kroner and Mary Rothman Kroner. On June 1, 1968 in Moberly, she married Lester Lee Riley. Susan was a very selfless, caring person. The most important people in her life were her children and grandchildren. To them, she was the best mother and grandmother anyone could have. She was a nurse by profession and excelled at caregiving. She loved to travel and was always on the go, attending craft shows, auctions, shopping, watching her grandkids participate in sports and other pursuits. Susan especially enjoyed attending musicals and concerts. She was an avid collector of angels and most recently had begun a collection of snowmen. She was a person who never said “NO”, as evidenced by her survival for 20 years following breast cancer. Her husband Lester preceded Susan in death in 2013. Those who remain to carry on her memory include her parents Donald Kroner and Mary Rothman (Bill McGlothlin); siblings; Michael (Ada) Kroner of Moberly, Gerald Kroner of Fenton, MO and Scott Avery (Robyn) of Harrisburg; her children, Kevin (Rita) Riley, Julie Riley, Melissa Riley (Ronnie Barron), all of Moberly; grandchildren Trevor Riley, Anna Riley, Alex Hull, Ethan Hull, Austin Barron, Sydney Barron, all of Moberly; and a granddogger, Macy of Moberly. Services for Susan will be Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly with interment to follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 16, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Randolph County Relay for Life; C/O Janie Riley, P. O. Box 189, Moberly, MO. Pathway Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
