Alaiyna Michelle Wheaton, age 21, of Columbia, Missouri, passed on to eternal peace on February 8, 2024, at her home.
Aly was born on October 23, 2002, in Mexico, MO, to Dustin Wheaton and Amy DiFatta. She graduated from Rock Bridge High School, Columbia, Missouri. She was a member of the Paris Christian Church.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, photography, journaling, poetry, exploring, reading, and helping others. She had a big heart and cared for others.
Her family and friends will always remember her strong-will, sense of humor, her inquiring mind, her out-spokenness, but especially, her love of family.
Alaiyna is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jimmy Wheaton and Dean Kuntz; great-grandparents, Joyce and Charles Wheaton, Thomas Franklin Long, Dominic and Helen DiFatta, Gayle and Vivian Ridgeway.
Alaiyna is survived by her parents, Dustin Wheaton of Mexico, MO and Amy DiFatta, of Fayette, MO; step-mom, Shauna Wheaton of Mexico, MO; brothers, Thomas DiFatta and Nick DiFatta Wheaton, of Columbia, MO; sister, Madison Wheaton, of Mexico, MO; step-brother’s, Brandon, Keith, Seth and Drew Duncan of Paris, MO; grandparents, Elaine Kuntz, of Mexico, MO, Jan (Ron) Watts of Macon, MO, Steve DiFatta of St. Louis, MO; great-grandmother, Wanda Long of Macon, MO; uncles, Shannon Wheaton (Denise Redington) of Paris, MO; cousins, Lily Wheaton, Haley, Fredrick, Chase and Ethan Redington; uncle and aunt, Dominic (Jessica) DiFatta; cousins, Rocco and Bella DiFatta; uncle Ryne (Dianna) Watts, cousins, Cooper and Reece Watts, and many other numerous cousins and family members.
A Celebration of Life, by invitation only through family, for Alaiyna will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at 12:00 p.m., visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service, at Midway Christian Church, Mexico, MO. Alaiyna had a vibrant personality, therefore, wearing a bright color to her service is appropriate.
