Alice Virginia “Ginny” Lorton, 57, of Macon passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014 at her home. Ginny was born May 5, 1957 in Fort Dix, New Jersey. She married Ernie Lorton on January 17, 1975. She worked for many years at North Village Park as a CMT. She loved spending time with her grandkids and her family. She enjoyed gardening and was known as the peacemaker of the family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie and mother, Ella Mae Skinner. Ginny is survived by her father, Earl Skinner of Beardstown, IL; sons: Thomas Lorton and wife Tanya of Macon, Tannon Lorton and wife Bonnie of Macon, and Jonathan Lorton and fiancé, Kayla White of Moberly; daughter Tomena Bobbitt and husband Randy of Ashland, MO; brothers: Raymond Skinner and Brian Skinner of Auburn, IL, and Michael McSparran of Seattle, WA; sisters: Keila Jackson of Girard, IL, Lillie Skinner of Girard, IL Brenda Lowe of Columbia, MO, Cathy Guyton of Moberly; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly with Pastor John Bill Spilman officiating. Burial will follow at the Higbee City Cemetery.
