Annette Evans Wilson passed away on July 18, 2021 at Methodist Hospice Residence in Germantown, Tennessee. She was born on June 6, 1937 in Newbern, Tennessee to Tom and Willie Mae Evans. She was one of 10 children. She was married to the late James Clark Wilson, D.V.M., and had managed their veterinary practice for 50 years in Ripley, Tennessee until they retired in 2010. Annette had been an active member of the Ripley First Presbyterian Church. She loved caring for animals with her husband, adopting several dogs over the years. Most recently, Sunshine had been her constant companion after Dr. Wilson's passing. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her son David Bennett Wilson, M.D. and daughter-in-law Pamela, of Overland Park, Kansas; by grandson, Daniel James Wilson, wife Adrienne, grandchildren Bennett Clark and Kinsley Anne; and by grandson Matthew David Wilson, M.D., wife Jesselyn, and grandchildren Claire McKenzie and Henry James. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and all but two of her siblings. Her younger sister, Frances Evans McKnight, was her devoted primary caregiver over the last several months, and her family expresses great appreciation for her care. A private family graveside service will be held at the Higbee City Cemetery, Higbee, Missouri, under the direction of Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly, Missouri.
