Barbara J. Carden

Barbara Carden, 77, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away on April 23, 2018 at her home. She was born to the late John and Maggie (Garrett) Ames on February 14, 1941 in Rockford, Illinois. She was a member of Family Life Fellowship, enjoyed doing puzzle books, lottery tickets, and when she was able, she liked to walk up town to Sally's. She loved being with her kids and grandkids, especially her great-grandbaby. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Bonnie Carden; brother, Clarence Ames; sisters: Mardell Starks, and Betty Heaston. Survivors include her sons: Johnnie Carden, Sr. and wife Trish, Terry Carden and Amanda, and Charles Carden and wife Barb; brothers: Terry Ames, John Ames, Hooter Ames, and Billy Garrett; sisters: Bonita Campbell, Mary Phelps, and Francis Phelps; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and special friend, Diana. A memorial service will be held by the family on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sugar Creek Pavilion. Cremation has been accorded by Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly.
