Bessie Herrin

Bessie Bea Herrin, 83, of Moberly, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016. Bessie was born January 22, 1933 to Lewis Ballew and Mary Fizer Ballew. Bessie was a lifelong area of the Moberly and Huntsville areas. She married James Herrin on October 10, 1953 in Huntsville, MO. Bessie was a member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the VFW. She was a faithful member of the Jefferson Avenue Methodist Church in Moberly and enjoyed her church activities, as well as time spent with her family. Those preceding Bessie in death are her parents, her husband and a sister Josephine Johnston. She is survived by her children: Debbie Herrin, Gary Herrin (Mary), Mason Herrin (Tina), Jerry Herrin (Julie) all of Moberly, and Jana Cockrell (Rick) of Clark, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. A memorial service for Bessie will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with inurnment in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Jefferson Avenue Methodist Church, 323 Jefferson Avenue, Moberly, MO.
