Betty Jo Beal, 81, of Cairo, Mo, passed away unexpectedly on November 26, 2021, while visiting family in Lebanon, TN.
Betty Jo was born on February 11, 1940 in Jacksonville, MO to Arnold Tuley and Vena Hill Tuley and was a lifelong resident of Randolph County.
Through the years, Betty Jo worked as a cashier for Safeway, as quality control for Toastmaster in Macon and as an activities director for Health Systems in Columbia. She was also a member of Family Life Fellowship.
In her spare time Betty Jo liked gardening, sewing and refinishing antiques. She also enjoyed being a Bluebird leader for Girl Scouts when daughters were young.
Betty Jo is preceded in death by her parents, Arnold and Vena Tuley; her sister, Cara Sue Tuley and brother, Buster Tuley.
Survivors include her children, Susan Ehler of Cairo, MO, Robin and Timis Cobbins of Columbia, MO, Chris Ishmael of Tennessee and Arnold and Angela Beal of Lebanon, TN; 9 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; siblings, Chuck and Carol Tuley of Cedar Rapids, IA, Patty Creed of Hallsville, MO, Sarah and Tim Clarke of Moberly, MO and Keith Tuley of Clarence, MO; extended family and close friends.
A funeral service celebrating Betty Jo’s life will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 12:00 noon at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mount Salem Cemetery in Excello, MO. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
