Betty Ruth Blakemore

Betty Ruth Blakemore, age 70, formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away at home with her husband and family at her home in Sturgeon, MO.

Betty was born on November 23, 1951, in Hattiesburg, MS, to William Thomas Rasberry and Eva Lee Brownlee. She attended MacArthur High School in Houston, TX.

She married Thomas Ray Blakemore on November 6, 1976, in Houston, TX.

Betty enjoyed crafting, quilting, painting, nature, cooking and her fur babies. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving mother, wife, sister, and grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her son, James Leonard Rasberry, her daughter, Ashley LaBreese Blakemore, her sisters, Mary, Margaret, Eva Lois, and her parents.

Betty is survived by her husband, Thomas, of Sturgeon, MO, her daughters, Melissa Blakemore Graham and Michele Blakemore, both of Splendora, TX, stepson, Darrick Anderson of Madison, MO, grandchildren, Tyler and Makenna Marsh, both of Moberly, MO, step-granddaughters. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Beard, of Garrison, TX, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, extended family and many close friends.

At the request of the family, there will be no public services at this time.
