Betty Ann Kendall, 78 of Moberly passed away Sunday, February 17, 2013 at the Moberly Regional Medical Center. Betty was born to the late Richard and Victorine (Derboven) Spicer on March 9, 1934 in Randolph County, MO. She married William “Bill” Kendall on September 27, 1952 and he preceded her in death in 2009. She belonged to the St. Pius X church in Moberly for over 54 years. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and going to the casino’s and playing the slot machines. Betty was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Colley; brothers; Joe Spicer and Carl Spicer; and sister, Marjorie Lusby. She is survived by son, Dan Kendall of Kimberling City, MO; daughters: Kay Lawson and husband Steve of Moberly; Doris Whelan and husband Jim of Moberly; Denise Kendall of Columbia; Kim Johnson of Moberly; and Angie Begley of Kimberling City, MO; brother, Wayne Spicer and wife DeAnn of Salem, MO; sister, Mary Silvey of Jackson, Mo; 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the St. Pius X Catholic Church from 9:00 a.m until 10:00 a.m. Memorial Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m with Father Mike Coleman officiating. Cremation has been accorded by Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. For those desiring, the family has suggested memorial contributions to St. Pius X.
