Betty Jean Kruse, 84, of Moberly, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. Betty was born July 11, 1930 in Sterling, Illinois to Henry Buckwalter Weaver and Vernice Marie Eikenberry Weaver. She married Glenn H. Kruse in Moline, Illinois on November 24, 1957. They have lived in the Moberly area for 32 years.
Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Glenn H. Kruse, a son Gregory Glenn Kruse, brothers Clifford Weaver and Howard Weaver and sister Joyce Bumphrey.
Survivors include her sister, Alice Spencer of Morrison, IL, Nora Johnson (Paul) of Peotone, IL, brothers Art Weaver (Lynne) of Savannah, IL and Bob Weaver (Deanna) of San Jacinto, CA; children, Bradley Glenn Kruse (Jane) of Huntsville, MO, Curtis Glenn Kruse (Lisa) of Moberly, MO, Michael Stephen Matuska of Shelby, NC; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.
Services for Betty will be Monday, November 24, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Highway 24 East, Moberly, MO, with burial to follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the church.
