Betty Lou Martin, 86, of Moberly, passed away Monday, November 4, 2024, at Moberly Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Randolph County on March 11, 1938, to Marvin & Viola (Utterback) Martin. Betty was a graduate of Madison High School. She spent the majority of her life in Moberly. She enjoyed cooking, word search puzzles, country music, but above all, she loved spending time with her family. The grandchildren were a joy to her. She would spend the biggest part of her career in home health care caring for the elderly as they made their way to heaven. There hasn't been a day since she stopped working that she hasn't said she missed it. She loved helping others.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters: Martha Bird, Jean Orton & Shirley Downing and an infant brother Stephen Martin.

Survivors include her 5 daughters Carolyn Thornton, of Moberly, Marilyn (Ken) Ehler of Columbia, Donna Stuck of Moberly , Sherri (Dustin) McCormick of Moberly & Lori (Greg) O' Brian of Columbia; grandchildren, Emily (Stewart) Imbler of Jacksonville, Daniel Johnston of Moberly, Michael (Stacy) Ehler of Kentucky, Taylor O'Brian of Ashland, Jeffrey (Samantha) Martin of Texas, Kristen O'Brian of Columbia, Jared Martin of Moberly; great grandchildren, Alexis Mazzola of Illinois, Madison (Matt) Caffro of Ohio, Parker Imbler of Springfield, Tatum Martin of Texas, Braylee Martin of Moberly, Adelynn Martin of Texas; great-great grandchildren, Alexander Johnston of Florida, and Archer Weis of Illinois. Siblings, Charles (Lorna) Martin of Moberly, MO, George (Judy) Martin of Moberly, MO, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

A service celebrating Betty’s life will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
