Beverly Thorp

Beverly Ann Thorp, 73, of Moberly, passed away January 10, 2019 at the University of Missouri Hospital. Beverly was born November 19, 1945 in Moberly, MO to Thomas Earl Hess and Mary Tilden Hess. She was united in marriage to Bobby Joe Thorp December 31, 1969 and he preceded her in death. Beverly was a graduate of the Moberly High School class of 1963. Her life was her family, who she lived for. Besides her family, she was surrounded by many friends whom she loved and they loved her as well. She enjoyed monthly luncheons with her high school classmates. The Moberly VFW Post 2654 and Moberly Lions Club she held near and dear to her heart. She was a member of VFW Post 2654 Auxiliary for many years. Beverly is survived by her children, Robert Thorp and Shawnda Komer both of Moberly; grandchildren, Brandon Kitchen, Moberly, Randi Rice, Huntsville, Josh Thorp, Fulton, Shelby Thorp, Moberly, Ashley Komer, Moberly, William Komer, Moberly, Maddison Thorp, Fulton; great- grandchildren, Addison Kitchen, Colten Ellington, Bre`elle Carter, Siler Rice and Harley Super; siblings, Velda Ward-Moab, Utah, Louise Lay, Columbia, Tim Hess, Austintown, Ohio, Tommy Hess, Moberly; extended family and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters Angelia Kitchen and Andrea Thorp; grandchildren Adam Kitchen, Sydney Thorp and Garrett Moore; sister, Donna Stevenson, Phoenix, Arizona. A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at the VFW in Moberly from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Vic Comstock officiating a service at 4: 00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to Moberly VFW Post 2654 or the Moberly Lions Club.
