Birney L. Dwyer

Birney L. Dwyer, 76, of Moberly passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Boone Hospital in Columbia surrounded by his family. Birney was born to the late Harold and Elizabeth (Allen) Dwyer on October 19, 1939 in Hannibal, Missouri. On December 17, 1960 he married Barbara Ann Rickey and they celebrated over 55 years together. He was the owner/operator of National Asphalt Paving in Moberly for 30 years. He was crazy about his dogs, Mickey and Gracie. Birney loved deer hunting, watching car races on t.v and loved his coffee club at Hardee’s. He also enjoyed Country Music. Survivors include; wife, Barbara Dwyer of Moberly; daughters: Jo Ann Dwyer of Moberly, and Mary Ellen (Mark McCann) Dwyer of Moberly; brother, John (Ginger) Dwyer of Palmyra; sister, Judith Kennedy of Springfield; special friend, Doug Kitchen; special niece, Kim Plakorus; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly.
