Bob Glenwood Threlkeld, 85, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018. He was born September 12, 1932 in Lentner, MO to Garnett Threlkeld and Ethel May Stalcup Threlkeld. On August 31, 1952 he married Peggy Jurado. Bob honorably served his country in the United States Army from January 23, 1953 to January 26, 1955 as a Corporal. He received a Korean service medal, U N service medal and National Defense service medal. Bob was with the 361st Combat Engineer Battalion. He later took a job with the City of Moberly as a Sugar Creek Lake Ranger. A position he held for 29 years. Bob was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, attending auctions and spending time on his farm near Huntsville. He started a Children’s Animal farm. He and Peggy owned “The White Tail Reservation” deer farm and home of the famed white tail buck “Geronimo”. Family and friends will always remember Bob has having a big heart and being a great checkers player. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Threlkeld of Moberly; his sons, Bob Jr. and Jamie Threlkeld of College Mound and Larry and Karen Threlkeld of Columbia; granddaughters, Sara Threlkeld of Parkville, Alex Threlkeld of Columbia and Carlie Threlkeld of Ashland; grandsons, Zeke Threlkeld and Lane Threlkeld both of Columbia; great-grandson, Braxton Threlkeld of Parkville, extended family and many friends. Private services celebrating Bob’s life will be held at a future date.
