Brenda Katherine Hunter, 57, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at her daughter’s home in Macon, MO.
Brenda was born June 23, 1957, in Edina, MO to Leo Smith and Reta Goodwin Smith. She relocated to the Macon and Moberly area in 1964. She worked for many years as a teacher’s aide for special needs children. Brenda enjoyed flowers and taking care of her pets. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Leo Smith.
Survivors include her husband Mark Hunter of Moberly; her mother, Reta Smith of Moberly; her brother, Jeff Smith of Huntsville; her sister, Debbie White of Clark; her children, Lawrence Paul (Jessica) Dale of Moberly, Alicia Mae Hunter of Macon, Kayla Renee Hunter of Higbee, 3 stepchildren who live out of the area; 5 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and numerous beloved family members and friends.
Services for Brenda will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home followed by interment in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are appreciated to Randolph County Relay for Life, c/o Janie Riley, P. O.
