Brenda Rice

Brenda Renee Kitchen Rice, 57, of Moberly, passed away at her home March 18, 2016. She was born in Moberly on November 26, 1958 to Ralph Kitchen and Betty Mayfield Kitchen. She married Johnny Rice on September 8, 1978 in Moberly. She was a lifelong resident of Moberly and a member of West Park Methodist Church since childhood. Renee worked in home health care and was a great caregiver. She always wanted to take care of others but wouldn’t let others take care of her. She also enjoyed music, fishing and reading. She was fond of animals and children. Renee loved spending time with her family. Those preceding Renee in death are her husband, her parents, stepmother, Ethelyn Kitchen, and daughter Courtney Rice. She is survived by her son James Rice of Moberly; siblings, Jackie Lee Kitchen of Moberly, Judy Robinson of Independence, Danny Perkins (Anna) of Destrehan, LA, Susan Gully of Huntsville, Debbie Eisenhofer of Higbee, Stephen Barger of Jefferson City, Robin Lorton of Higbee and DeWayne Kitchen (Darra) of Wichita, KS., nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at West Park Methodist Church in Moberly at 11:00 a.m. with private burial at a later date.
