Brian Martin Lewis, 61, of Renick, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at his home.
He was born December 21, 1953, in Moberly to Harvey E. Lewis and Catherine Marie (Graves) Lewis and was a lifelong resident of the area.
Brian was employed as a drop forge heavy machinery operator at Hubbel Power Systems, formerly A. B. Chance, in Centralia. Prior to that he served in the United States Army from 1974 until 1976.
On February 20, 1993, Brian married Lori Wales in Moberly. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church. He liked hunting, fishing and bowling. He also enjoyed tinkering with cars and attending car shows, but what he loved most was spending time with his family and friends.
Brian is survived by his wife Lori, and five children, Brian Scott Lewis (Melissa) of Clark, MO, Jennifer Hildreth of Moberly, MO, Carrie Brockman (Doug) of Moberly, MO, Leah Decker (Travis) of Sturgeon, MO, and Celia DeWitt of Clark, MO; twelve grandchildren, Bryce, Alyssa, and Brett Hildreth of Moberly, MO, Kelsey Brockman and James Richardson of Moberly, MO, Kayla, Ethan, and Ryan Lewis of Clark, MO, Collin and Gabrielle Antle of Clark, MO, and Austin and Courtney Decker of Sturgeon, MO; one great-grandchild, Rylan Crosswhite of Moberly, MO; siblings, Dr. Daniel Lewis (Sandra) of Marshfield, MO, Melanie Petre (Paul) of Utah, Marlane Embree (Damon) of Clark, MO, and Sheryl (Lester) Dale of Jacksonville, MO; uncle and aunt, Frank and Wanda Graves of Moberly, Mo and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
His parents and a brother, Brent Charles Lewis, preceded him in death.
The funeral service for Brian Lewis will be held Monday, June 8, 2015 at 1:00 p.m., at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Interment with full military honors will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Jacksonville. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
