Bridgette Ann Strain 44, of Higbee passed away May 28, 2012 at the University Hospital in Columbia. Bridgette was born May 12, 1968 in Chicago, IL to James Harry and Susan Joy (McDaniel) Gibson II. Bridgette was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Moberly. She worked as a Call Collector for Dolphin Capital. She was a past member of the School Board of Higbee R8 Schools and was a member of the Women’s Quilting Club at Zion Lutheran. On April 26, 1985 in Moberly, she married Benjamin H. Strain and he survives of the home. Bridgette is also survived by her parents James and Susan Gibson of Higbee ; two sons Christopher Joseph Strain and Ethan Andrew Strain both of Higbee; one granddaughter Taylor Macenzie Strain; six brothers James and Rebecca Gibson of Higbee, Matthew and Shelly Gibson of Columbia, Aaron and Kim Gibson of Kennesaw, GA, Jeremiah Gibson of Higbee, David and Caroline Gibson of Fairfield, CA and Ira and Ashley Gibson of Fredericksburg, VA; two sisters Julie and Troy Smith of Higbee and Amber Gibson of Columbia; nieces and nephews Cheyenne, Seth, Skye, Shea and Samuel Smith, Gentry Fuller, James IV, William, Victoria and Kylleen Gibson, Trenton, Conner and Chloe Gibson, Taylor and Jaden Gibson and Brent, Kaylee, Zachariah and Izabella Gibson. She was preceded in death by her sister Colleen Gibson. Services will be Friday June 1, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Ken Schurb officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7:00 P.M. a the Million-Taylor Funeral Home in Higbee. Burial will be at the Gibson Family Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Ellis Fischel Cancer Center or Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes Hospital.
