Charles Merry

Charles “Chuck” Lawrence Merry Jr., 88, of Brunswick, MO passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Moberly Nursing and Rehab in Moberly, MO. Chuck was born September 10, 1931 in Moberly, MO to Charles Merry Sr. and Thelma (Hughes) Merry. They both preceded him in death. He retired after 10 years as a lineman for the railroad only to decide to become a truck driver. First for Banquet and then later driving for Quinn Precast hauling concrete beams. Chuck was a member of the American Legion. He loved being outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and trap shooter. Chuck also enjoyed time spent with his family. Survivors include his four children, Pam (Rob) Dollich of Moberly, Stephanie Merry of Beaufort, SC, Lee Ann Baker of Moberly and Steven Merry of Moberly; four grandchildren; one step grandson; seven great grandchildren and one great great-grandson; extended family and friends. Services celebrating Chuck’s life will be held Friday, February 21, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO with full military honors.
