Charles “Chuck” Switzer, 76, of Florissant MO, formerly of Moberly, MO, passed away in his home, surrounded by family, on Saturday, November 25, 2017.
While residing in Moberly, he was employed by TCI Cable Vision. He was a member of the Moberly Lions Club. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1959 to 1962 and was stationed in Korea.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna of Florissant; daughter Kimberly (Alan) Cooper of Barnhart, MO; son Darin of Florissant, MO; daughter Shelley (Phil) Mattox of Moberly, MO; brother Jim (Fran) Switzer of Wyoming, half-sister Teresa (Doug) Saxton of Pontiac, IL; sister-in-law Karen (Jerry) of Jefferson City, MO; grandchildren Brandon Hoffman; Bessie Switzer; Nick and Zac Mattox; step-grandchildren Robby, George, Sammy Conner.
He was preceded in death by his parents William Clyde Switzer and Frankie (Johnson) Switzer Wickenhauser, first wife Merrie (Misty) Switzer, and brother Jerry Switzer.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2017, at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO. There is no visitation.
As Chuck was a very informal person who especially preferred comfortable clothing, it is suggested those attending the graveside service wear jeans.
