Charles Lester Twyman Sr.

Charles Lester Twyman Sr., age 83, of Moberly, MO passed away on November 16, 2023, at the University of Missouri Hospital.  Charles was born on April 12, 1940, to Roy and Virginia (Wilbarger) Twyman.  He graduated from Moberly High School in 1958.

He shared a home with his soul mate Glenda Barron for 40+ years and they had 3 children.  He also had 3 children previously.

He enjoyed being at home with family, working on H.O. trains, showing off his train set to family and friends, watching History Channel, westerns, and driving around town. He enjoyed being a truck driver most of his life, having been to all 50 states, and could tell you every spot on the road. He also enjoyed his daily coffee and cookies. His family and friends will always remember his happy-go-lucky attitude, his smile, him wearing his stocking cap, and the unique soups he would make.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Kenneth, Bobby, Larry, Gerald Wayne, and Dennis Earl Twyman; and stepmother, Virgie Twyman.

He is survived by his soul mate, Glenda Barron, of Moberly, MO; daughter, Courtney Benson (Bryan), of Moberly, MO; son, Brandon Barron, of Moberly, MO; son, Christopher Barron, of Moberly, MO; son, Chuckie Twyman, of Moberly, MO; son, son Dennis Twyman, of Lake of the Ozarks, MO; daughter, Lisa Twyman, of Moberly, MO; several grandchildren; brother, LeRoy (Rhonda) Twyman, of Moberly, MO; sister, Sharon (Larry) Esry, of Moberly, MO; brother, Jerry (Sue) Twyman, of Moberly, MO; and sister, Debbie Kitchen, of Moberly, MO; step-siblings Connie Dameron, Moberly, MO, James McDermit, of Mexico, MO, Eddie McDermit, of Columbia, MO, Linda Glithero, of Moberly, MO, and Carman Shuck, of Mexico, MO; extended family and friends.

A funeral service celebrating Charles’ life has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 22, 2023, at 1 pm, at Family Life Fellowship, Moberly, MO, with Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery, Moberly, MO.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 12 until 1 pm., at Family Life Fellowship, Moberly, MO.
