Clara Elizabeth (Manning) Minor, 73, of Moberly passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Boone Hospital. Clara was born July 7, 1946 to George J. Manning and Rosalie (Schoemig) Manning in Moberly, MO. She was a lifelong resident of the Moberly area. She graduated from Moberly Senior High School. She married Kenneth L. Minor on August 31, 1968, the couple shared 47 wonderful years together. In her earlier years, Clara worked as an operator for South Western Bell, and then as a claims representative for the Social Security Administration. Even after retiring, Clara loved to stay busy. She enjoyed watching the Moberly Area Community College Greyhounds, reading a book or working on crossword puzzles; she also enjoyed watching stockcar racing. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she touched the lives of so many. She will be greatly missed. Clara is preceded in death by her parents, George and Rosalie Manning; husband, Kenneth Minor; brother, Bill Manning and infant son, James Minor. Survivors include her children, Larry Dean (Terra) Minor of Moberly, Lea Ann (Donnie) Nickerson of Moberly and John Alan (Debbie) Minor of Higbee; grandchildren, Zachary Minor and Coty Minor both of Huntsville, Austin Nickerson and Derrick Nickerson both of Moberly, Kalynn (Joe) Starks of Huntsville, Tori Nickerson of Moberly, Nia Kastner of Jefferson City, Kaylee Smith and Payton Smith both of Moberly; great grandchildren, Stella, Shawnee and Liam Starks all of Huntsville; siblings, Ivan (Karen) Manning of Independence, Joan (John) Milnes of Moberly and Frank (Pat) Manning of Independence; as well as extended family and close friends. Services celebrating Clara Elizabeth Minor's life will be held Sunday, January 19, 2020 at 12:00 noon at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home.
