Clarence John Biere, age 92, of Clark, Missouri, passed away surrounded by family on July 19, 2023, at his home in Clark, Missouri.
Clarence was born on January 14, 1931, in Bland, Missouri to Louis and Nora (Koseck) Biere. He graduated from Bland High School. In 1964, he moved to Colorado and accepted a position as an engineer at Western Electric Telephone Company where he worked for more than 33 years.
He honorably served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Clarence was a patient, kind-hearted and generous man.
He married Shirley Truesdell on June 5, 1978, in Clark, Missouri. He enjoyed being a ham operator, private pilot, farmer, and he knew morse code. Clarence was an easy-going, gentle man who loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis (Stevenson) Biere; parents; two brothers and a sister.
Clarence is survived by his wife, Shirley Biere, of Clark, MO; his son, Mike Biere, of Denver, CO; daughter, Janet Rodrigue (Ronnie), of Killeen, TX; daughter, Amy Smock (Al), of Chicago, IL; and daughter, Julie Walker (Paul), of Clark, MO; grandchildren Susan Duncan (Aaron), of Phoenix, AZ; Seth Rodrigue, of Killeen, TX; Shannon Rodrigue, of Killeen, TX; Sara Allen (Tony), of Phoenix, AZ; Kirsten Alsip (Charlie), of Cedar Lake, IN; Alan Dale Smock (Mary), of GA; Kathleen Mayhaus (Joe), of Imperial, MO; Daniel Walker (Mikayla), of Hopkinsville, KY; Phillip Walker, of Elkhorn, NE; 15 great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and many close friends.
A funeral service celebrating Clarence’s life will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at Pathway-Millard Family Chapel in Moberly, Missouri. Military honors and interment to follow at Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery, Jacksonville, MO. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Pathway-Millard Family Chapel, Moberly, Missouri.
