Clyde M. Williams

Clyde Mitchell Williams, Age 61, of Moberly, Missouri passed away surrounded by his family on April 14, 2022 at his home in Moberly.

Clyde was born April 5, 1961 in Joliet, Illinois to Clyde “Bud” Williams and Jean (Puhek) Evans. He graduated from Hallsville High School in 1980.

In 1991 he accepted a position as a small engine mechanic at Lindsey Rentals where he worked for more than 20 years.

Clyde was always willing to help everyone out. He married Elizabeth “Beth” Detherow on October 24, 1992 in Fayette, Missouri. Clyde enjoyed building cars, going to car shows, fishing and barbequing.  

His family and friends will always remember him for his mechanical skills, his friendliness-he never knew a stranger, his love of classic cars. Clyde was a huge Sci-Fi fan. He was very fun loving and a hard worker.

Clyde is preceded in death by his father, Clyde “Bud” Williams; his sister, Betty Jean Williams and two nephews, Daniel and Travis Morrison.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Elizabeth “Beth” Williams of Moberly; his three sons, Clyde Mitchell Williams, Harley Williams and Johnathan (Erin) Williams all of Moberly; one grandson, Daniel Williams of Moberly; his mother, Jean and step-father, Don Evans of Paris; one sister, Cindi (Ed) Slemp of Harrisburg; niece, Amanda (Kent) Rollins-Wies of Fayette; a great niece, Brooklyn Wies; two great nephews, Will Wies and Elix Morrison; extended family and many close friends.

A memorial visitation to celebrate Clyde’s life will be held on April 21, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO. Memorial contributions are appreciated to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation at 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500 Chicago, Illinois 60611.
