Connie Hisle, 80, of Moberly passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon. Connie was born to the late Botho and Mazie (Lucas) Stuck on January 22, 1933 in Cairo, Missouri. She worked for the Moberly School District as a cook for many years and enjoyed telling stories of all the meals she made for the children. She was a member of the St. Pius Catholic Church and religion and her faith were very important to her. Her hobbies included playing bridge and taking care of her animals. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Matthews; sons: Russell Matthews, Robert Matthews, and Ronnie Matthews; brother Robert Stuck. Connie is survived by her husband, Gary Hisle; grandchildren: Shannon Foster, Racheal Matthews, Douglas Matthews, and David Matthews; many great grandchildren; brothers: Dewayne Stuck of Columbia, and Donald Stuck and wife Judy of Springfield, MO; sister, Joann Asbury of Moberly; sons: Steve Hisle and wife Julie of Liberty, MO; Mark Hisle and wife Carla of Centralia, MO, and Kris Hisle and wife Deborah of Leewod, KS; daughters: Mary Ellen Creed and husband Duane of Jacksonville, MO, and Jan Benner and husband Van of Moberly, MO; Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly from 9:30 a.m until 10:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m at the St. Pius X Catholic Church with Fr. Phil Niekamp officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Macon, MO under the direction of Million Taylor Funeral Homes.
