Corey Ryan Harding Jr.

Corey Ryan Harding, Jr., 27, of Joplin, MO went home to be with Jesus on Monday, December 12, 2022.  Corey, known his whole life as CJ, was born on Easter, April 16, 1995 to Corey and Kelly (Haak) Harding in Kirksville, MO.  CJ grew up in Moberly, MO and was a 2013 graduate of Moberly High School.

CJ was preceded in death by his dearly adored grandmother, Sharon L. Haak, paternal grandmother, Judy Harding, and his great grandparents.  He is survived by his parents, sister, Acacia Harding, and brother, Daniel Harding, all of Moberly.  He is also survived by his beloved grandfather, Karl Haak and aunt, Karla Haak, both of Moberly, grandparents, Clifford and Barbara Harding, of Iowa, aunt, Jeri Ann Strong, and uncles, Jon and James Harding.  Also mourning his passing are many extended family members and dear friends.

CJ struggled to find where he fit in this world but two things never wavered:  his love for Jesus and his love for people.  CJ lit up any room he entered with his huge smile, sense of humor, and laughter.  Never one for formal education, he was nonetheless, absolutely brilliant.  CJ loved all things about music and was an accomplished singer.  He always had a song on his lips.  His light in this world, no matter how brief, will live on in those he touched with his warm and gentle spirit.

A funeral service honoring CJ’s memory will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
