Dakota Lee Carter, age 29, of Huntsville, MO, passed away on April 6, 2024.

Dakota was born on December 17, 1994 in Moberly, MO, to Teresa Carter and Israel Gonzalez.  He graduated from Moberly High School.

He enjoyed spending time with his children and family, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, playing football with his son and daughter, making music, singing, and overall enjoying life.  His family will always remember his big beautiful brown eyes, huge loving heart, beautiful big smile that lit up every room and his angelic voice.   He had an amazing, goofy and fun personality and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for anyone. He absolutely loved the Kansas City Chiefs and football in general.  He was so full of life, the life of the party and a very social outgoing person.

He is preceded in death by his grandma Sharlot Carter; and great grandparents Earl and Erma Carter.

Dakota is survived by his spouse, Brittney Brown of Huntsville, MO; his mother, Teresa Carter of Booneville, MO; his father, Israel Gonzalez, of Blue Springs, MO; his children, Aiden Lee Carter, Allyana Grace Carter,  Dakota Atreus Lee Carter, of Huntsville, MO; grandparents Melvin Carter, of Fortworth, TX, Arturo and Hilda Gonzalez, of Blue Springs, MO; siblings Ariel Hull (Shawn Tiger), of Moberly, MO, Shawn Hull, of Moberly, MO, Britney Allison, of Macon, MO, Nathaniel Gonzalez, of Liberty, MO, Anthony Gonzalez, of Denver, CO, Jonathan Gonzalez, of Denver, CO; aunts and uncles Doug (T J) Carter, of Monte Vista, CO, Kevin Carter, of Monte Vista, CO, Amy Carter of MS, Adriana Gonzalez, of Blue Springs, MO, Lorena Gonzalez, of Blue Springs, MO, Arturo Gonzalez, of Blue Springs, MO; niece and nephews Kiara Tiger, of Moberly , MO, Ka’Von Tiger, of Moberly, MO, Kavian Tiger, of Moberly, MO, Kaidence Tiger, of Moberly, MO, Michael Sartain, of Moberly, MO, Ryan Sartain, Moberly, MO, Lucas Gonzales, of Liberty, MO, Anderson Gonzalez, of Liberty, MO, Stephen Gonzales, of Liberty, MO; and several cousins and many close friends.

​Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. which will be immediately followed by the funeral service.
