Danny Joe Clark, 64, of Moberly, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at his home. Danny was born October 16, 1952 to the late Walter B. and Bonnie M. (Fielding) Clark in Marshall, Missouri. He served his Country in the United States Marine Corps and then the National Guard where he retired as a first sergeant. He also worked as a case worker for the prison for over twenty years and retired from there in 2012. He was an avid card player, a Netflix connoisseur, and enjoyed reading. His grandchildren were very special to him and he loved being “Grandpa Danny”. After a life of service, he was enjoying his retirement doing nothing, where every day is Saturday, and traveling to places like Jamaica and visiting civil war battle sites. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters: Donna Sullivan, Brenda Buck, Judy Clark; and brother, Dub Clark. Survivors include his sons: Dan Clark of Moberly, Missouri, Steve Clark and wife Jamie of Columbia, Missouri; daughter, Laura Meyers and husband Daniel of Wichita, Kansas; longtime companion & traveling partner, Nancy Pancoast of Moberly, Missouri; brother, Jerry Clark and wife Sandra of Washington State; 5 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his first wife and mother of his children, Patty Clark of Cairo, Missouri. Per Danny’s request there will be no services at this time. The family will shortly have a private celebration of life. Inurnment will take place at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at a later date with Military Honors under the direction of Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Missouri Veterans Home, 1 Veterans Dr, Mexico, Missouri 65265.
