David Ray James Sr.

David Ray James Sr., 63, of Moberly passed away Thursday, January 02, 2014 in Moberly. David was born to the late Ollie and Louise (Stevens) James on January 3, 1950 in Neelyville, MO. He married Artie Belle Webster in 1974. David was employed by Gordon Automotive in previous years where he worked as a mechanic. David was a kind hearted man that would help anyone that he could. He loved fishing, hunting, mowing the grass and picking dandelions. He was known as a Jack of all trades but a master of none. He will be sadly missed by his family. He was preceded in death by son, Jeffery James; sisters: Barbara Bailey and Melissa Long; and brother, Robert Lynn James. David is survived by his loving wife, Artie James of 39 years; son, David Ray James Jr. of Moberly; daughter: Mary Ann James; brothers: Ollie James Jr. and wife Cindi of Iowa; brother-in-law, Mike Long of Moberly; sisters: Ann Marie Barker of Moberly, and Anita Bailey and husband Gary of Moberly; grandchildren: Kirsten James, Mindy James, Annika James, and Gavin James; great grandchild; Hayden Apel. Funeral Services will take place at Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 1:00 p.m in the Chapel with Pastor Brad Fuemmeler.
