David Allen Seisser Sr., 69, of Holiday Acres, passed away at his home Monday, April 21, 2014.
He was born January 6, 1945 in Elgin, Illinois to Albert Seisser and Celestine Fitzgerald Seisser. He married
Nancy Fosnaugh in Delton, Michigan on April 20, 1966
and they enjoyed 48 years together.
David served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. Following an honorable discharge, he went to work as a superintendent for the Water and Sewer Department in the city of Woodstock, Illinois until his retirement. He and Nancy moved to Holiday Acres in October 2010 where he enjoyed fishing and hunting. David loved
westerns and horseback riding. He was known as a kind,
soft-hearted person and a “going out to lunch” junkie. David especially cherished the friendships he and Nancy had made with the community at Holiday Acres.
Surviving David are his wife Nancy; children Stacey Hess and Jim of Woodstock, Illinois and David Seisser Jr. of Cairo, Mo, and granddaughter Brianna Hess of Cairo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Julie Seisser.
