Deborah Boettger, 62, of Moberly, passed away September 24, 2015 at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO surrounded by her family. Deborah was born to Louis Ray Smith and Beverly Stull Smith on May 12, 1953 in Omaha, Nebraska. She has resided in Moberly for over twenty years where she worked as a Certified Nurse Aid. Deborah was a member of the Red Hat Society, was interested in geneology and doing crafts. She had spent six years in Germany as an Army wife and often talked of the country and how she had enjoyed her time there. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and her dog Milo. Deborah was preceded in death by her father Louis, daughter Erica Boettger, son Michael Lewis Ray Boettger and grandson Sebastian Boettger. She is survived by her mother Beverly and stepfather William Hartranft; brother Steve Logelin (Bonnie) of Elk Horn, NE, sister Chris Beavers (Ralph) of Omaha, NE, and brother Skip Smith (Phyllis) of El Paso, TX; children, Corina Stephenson (Tony) of Huntsville, Tanya Parrott (Gabe) of Paris, MO, Ruthann West (Chad Kirtlink) of Moberly, MO, Loretta Derboven (Brian) of Higbee, Timothy Boettger of Waynesville, MO and Cindi LaFournaise (Charles) of Omaha, NE; grandchildren Austin VanCleave of Seattle, WA, Alex Stephenson, Huntsville, Cyan West, Moberly, Cindi Stephenson, Huntsville, Jason (J.J.) West, Moberly, Brian Jr. Derboven, James Derboven, and Lukas Derboven, all of Higbee, Hunter West, Moberly and Michael LaFournaise, Omaha, NE; one great grand-daughter, Barbara Treat VanCleave of Mammoth Springs, Arkansas. A memorial service celebrating Deborah’s life will be held on Friday, October 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Ruthann West, 617 West Carpenter, Moberly, MO.
