Dennis Dean Taylor, 62, of Higbee, Missouri passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family and loved ones after a two year battle with pulmonary fibrosis.
He was born in Moberly, Missouri on January 2, 1953 to the late Clarence Hyatt Taylor and Levita Irene Davidson Taylor.
Dennis was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow. Dennis worked for the Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 42 years as a conductor. He was interested in hunting, fishing, music, and traveling. He loved the outdoors and was an avid birdwatcher.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; sister Lyla June Thompson; brothers Darrell Anthony Taylor and James Hyatt Taylor and a son, Jason Dean Taylor.
He is survived by his daughter and her husband, Tiffany and Jonathan Marsh; grandsons Jason and William Marsh; his loving partner Carol Harlan, all of Moberly; sisters Donna Hook and Rena McCreery, three nieces and five nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Pathway Memorial Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
