Donald Newman Andrews

Donald Newman Andrews 86 of Higbee passed away July 13, 2011 at the Harry S Truman Veterans Hospital. Donald was born August 22, 1924 in Howard County, Missouri to John L. and Gussie Mae (Newman) Andrews. Donald farmed all of his life. He was a member of New Hope Christian Church in Bunker Hill. He was a graduate and the Valedictorian of his class at Meyers High School in Bunker Hill, he also attended Central Methodist College in Fayette. He was a member of the VFW. Donald enjoyed fishing, playing Bingo and cards and being with his family . On May 19, 1946 in Armstrong he married Mary Bonuchi and she is survives of the home. Donald is also survived by two sons John R. Andrews and Donald Lee and Tammy Andrews all of Higbee; four daughters Sharon and Artis Sumpter of Higbee, Cynthia and Dennie Bickmeyer of Hermann, Paula and Bill Dougherty and Melinda and Bobby Grimsley all of Higbee; one brother Gerald and Ruth Andrews of Hollister, MO; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents an 1 brother. Graveside services will be Saturday July 16, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Higbee City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the New Hope Christian Church in Bunker Hill or the Higbee City Cemetery. Million-Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
