Donald Freeman Neil, 81 of Madison passed away on Friday, the 18th of January 2013 in Naples Florida. Donald was born in Moberly, MO on the 20th of April 1931, to Aubrey and Verlee (Hurt) Neil. He worked for the Norfolk & Southern Railroad as an office clerk for many years. He loved music and was a trumpet player in a Jazz band which was an important part of his life. Donald served in the U.S Navy from 1951 to 1955 where he was awarded the National Service Defense Medal. Donald was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Neil; mother, Verlee Neil; wife, Virginia Jo Neil, and daughter, Audrey Neil. He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Farias of Bonita Springs, Fl; grandson, Shandy James Albert of FL; granddaughter, Nicole Farias of FL; great-grandson, Elijah James Farias of FL; and great-granddaughter, Liliana Albert of MA. A visitation for Donald will take place on February 1, 2013 from 10:00 a.m until service time at 12:00 p.m at the Million Taylor Funeral Home in Moberly. Reverend Richard Clouse will officiate. Burial will follow at the Misssouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville with Military Honors.
