Donnie Biere Barnes

Donnie Ella Biere Barnes, 83, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at Valley View Nursing Home in Moberly. Donnie was born March 25, 1933 in Bland, Missouri to Louis Biere and Nora Koseck Biere. In 1963 she married Roy Barnes who preceded her in death. Donnie had lived in the Moberly area the majority of her life and had worked as a nurse’s aide before her retirement. She attended church at the Renick Community Church. She loved vegetable gardening, canning and cooking. Donnie enjoyed listening to gospel music and sharing it with her two faithful companions, her dogs. Those preceding her in death are her parents; her husband; twin brother Donald Biere and brother Alson Biere. She is survived by her daughter Darlene Garfield of Renick, MO, brother Clarence Biere and wife Shirley of Clark, MO and grandson Seth Garfield of Seattle, Washington. Services for Donnie will be Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home with burial in the Mount Horeb Cemetery in Sturgeon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
