Doris Elaine Twyman, 72, of Huntsville, passed away at her home May 8, 2019. She was born December 10, 1946 in Moberly to Luther and Marguerite Lynn Kitchen.
Doris was a lifelong resident of Randolph County and a Westran High School graduate. She married Bobby Twyman on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 1964 in Moberly and he preceded her in death in 2016.
Doris worked for many years as a personal caregiver, assisting individuals in their homes. She was also a school bus driver for the Westran School District for thirteen years. Doris had a regular stop every morning at Casey’s in Huntsville for a caramel donut and fountain Coke. She was always “on the go”, out to dinner with friends, trying out new restaurants, attending movies, country and comedy shows at Lake of the Ozarks and watching her kids playing sports. Her kids included her own grandchildren as well as the children she had transported on the school bus for years. Basketball games were her favorite but she enjoyed them all. She loved hosting and attending family dinners. She kept on hand favorites for her grandchildren to enjoy whenever they came and one would always find cold Cokes and sweet tea in her refrigerator
Those preceding Doris in death are her parents, Luther and Marguerite Kitchen; her husband, Bobby; brother, Gary Kitchen; infant sister, Diana Lynn Kitchen; maternal grandparents, Walter and Bertha Lynn and paternal grandparents, Ernest and Opal Kitchen.
