Dorothy Alliene Leathers, 86, of Moberly, passed away Sunday August 21, 2011 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. Dorothy was born December 23, 1924 in Moberly to Clarendon and Ethyln Bradley. She married Leonard Leathers on February 19, 1944 and he preceded her in death on May 9, 2011. Dorothy grew up and attended Moberly Public Schools. She worked at Brown Shoe Factory and McGraw Edison Company. She was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church. She made beautiful quilts, was an avid bowler, and loved to fish. She is survived by one daughter Berniece and Russ Greene of Columbia; grandchildren Cathy and Mike Troyer of Columbia, Russ Green III and Stephanie of Centralia, Cindy and Justin Romine of Centralia; ten great-grandchildren Cayla, Brad and Matt Troyer; Jenna, Emily and Nathan Greene; Nick, Anna, Jack and Elizabeth Romine; nieces Gerry Cooper and Shirley Grapes of Moberly, Judy Dillman of Des Moines and Joanne Dickey of Wellsville; nephew Danny Bradley of Wellsville and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters Ruby Cornelius and Gladys Farris and one brother Orville “Buster” Bradley. Services will be Thursday August 25, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Million-Taylor Funeral Home in Moberly. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church.
