E. Maurine Kroll

E. Maurine Mathis Kroll, age 85, of Higbee, MO, passed away on February 9, 2023, at Boone Hospital.

Maurine was born on February 6, 1938, to Thurman Hampton and Laura Winora (Coates) Mathis.

She graduated from Moberly Jr. College (lower division) and from Moberly Jr. College in 1960 with a degree in Business.

Maurine was a member of the St. Pius X Catholic Church and was the oldest remaining child in her family.

She married Jerry Kroll on April 23^rd, 1960, in Moberly, MO.

Maurine is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Kroll; parents; sister, Rita Louise (Mathis) Hines; brother, Hubert Wayne Mathis; brother-in-laws, Charles W. Davidson, Linus Kroll, Delmar “Tony” Kroll, Jim Licher and nephew, T. Christopher Downing.

She is survived by sisters, Ibia Davidson, Moberly, MO, Sandra Downing, Madison, MO, Valerie Tildon, Kansas City MO; brother, T. Dewayne Mathis, Kansas City, MO; brother-in-laws, Virgil (Dixie) Kroll, Mokane, MO, Mark (LaVerne) Eveler, Wardsville, MO; sister-in-laws, Dorothy Kroll, Jefferson City, Pat Licher, Montrose, MO; numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

A visitation honoring Maurine’s life has been scheduled for Thursday, February 16, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, 411 Union Avenue Moberly, MO 65270 with an interment to follow at the Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.
