Edith Elizabeth Howard

Edith Elizabeth (Willsie) Howard, 91, born January 19, 1921 in Bruchcreek, MO died March 20, 2012 in her daughter’s home in Clifton Hill, MO. Edith was born to James and Lillian (Christianson) Willsie. She married Francis J. Howard, July 11, 1940. She is survived by her 3 sons; Ronald Howard and Jeri Nelson of Perry, MO, Alvin and Marloyn Howard of Carrabelle, FL and Elmer and Vicki Howard of Clifton Hill, MO; 3 daughters Connie Staiger of Moberly, Pat Howard of Moberly and Pam and Dennis Nauerth of Clifton Hill, MO. She was the proud grandmother of 20, great-grandmother of 49 and a great-great-grandmother of 26. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Lillian Willsie, her husband Francis J. Howard, 2 sons James N. Howard and Gary W. Howard, 1 daughter Barbara Jean Howard, 1 grandson James A. Howard, 2 great-grandsons Layton Howard and Matt Rudder and all 8 of her brothers and sisters. Services will be Friday March 23, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at the Million-Taylor Funeral Home in Moberly. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society. Edith devoted her life to her family and friends. Also all the children that thought of her as a second mother. She was loved by many and will be missed greatly by all. Rest in peace Mom.
