Edwenia “Dee” Rebecca Tilden Hargis, 72, of Moberly, passed away June 7, 2016. Dee was born in Duncan’s Bridge, MO on June 20, 1943 to Don William Tilden and Juanita Fern Sears (Woodward).
Dee resided in Moberly the majority of her life but was a member of the MPBC Church in Georgetown, Kentucky. Most recently she was a resident of Moberly Nursing and Rehab. She worked as an assistant manager at the Salvation Army in Moberly, MO and liked to read, crochet and draw. Dee also enjoyed writing stories for her grandchildren. She was a social butterfly who was everybody’s friend. She never met a stranger. What Dee loved more than anything else was spending time with her family and especially her beloved grandchildren.
Those preceding her in death are her father and step-mother, Don and Bettie Tilden; her mother, Juanita Woodward; a daughter, Tela McCormick; grandson Justin Luntsford; nephew Donny Long as well as several aunts and uncles.
She is survived by her children, Karanita Boling of Independence, MO, Maurice “Michael” and Brenda Guerin of Golden Beach, MO, Crystal Allen of Moberly, MO, Marcel Guerin and Heather Waltman also of Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Jason and Amy Boling of Lexington, KY, Timothy Boling of Little Rock, AR, Kyle Luntsford and Emelie Allen both of Huntsville, MO, Sasha Griffith of Hawley, TX, Brandon Guerin of St. Louis, MO, Sara Guerin of St. Louis, MO and Sophia Guerin of Fort Myers, FL; step-grandchildren, Taylor and Brooklyn Coonce both of Moberly, MO and Hunter Coonce of Warrensburg, MO; great grandchildren, Paul Boling, Addrionna Absher and William Absher all of Lexington, KY, Hallie Jeanne Griffith and Jackie Griffith both of Hawley, TX, Averie Guerin of St. Louis and Emmersyn Luntsford of Moberly, MO; brothers, John Leper of Indianapolis, IN, Robert Tilden of MO; sisters, Carla (Bill) Beal of Moberly, MO, Robin (Loy) Owen of Eldorado, IL, Paula Tilden of Klamath Fall, OR, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday June 12, 2016 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. A family inurnment celebrating Dee’s life will take place on June 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Huntsville City Cemetery.
