Edwin Eugene “Gene” Imbler, 82 of Moberly, passed away Tuesday June 26, 2012 at Moberly Nursing and Rehab. He was born August 26, 1929 to Edwin Joseph and Josephine Clark Imbler. He married Betty Lou Baker January 7, 1950 in Moberly, Mo. and she preceded him December 22, 1977. He then married Martha Ann Masters June 16, 1979 in Moberly, Mo. and she survives. Gene, also known as E. E. Imbler, was a past member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Moberly and he worked for the Wabash, Norfolk and Western Railroads as a Locamotive Engineer and then retiring from the Norfolk and Southern after 44 years of service. He was a Hamm operator which he enjoyed as a hobby for many years. He is also survived by two sons, Lynn and Jill Imbler and Rodney Imbler both of Moberly, Mo., four daughters, Karen Imbler of Moberly, Mo., Brenda and Phil Hess of Cairo, Mo., Cheryl and Patt Stansberry of Columbia, Mo. and Terri and Rick Richardson of Moberly, Mo., nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, first wife, one son, one grandson and one sister. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday June 29, 2012 at the Million-Taylor Funeral Home in Moberly and Visitation will be from 10 to 11:00 A.M. Friday with Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Moberly, Mo.
