Eleanor Maiefski

Eleanor Darlene Maiefski was born on a small farm in Dunlap, Iowa on July 3, 1934. On February 26, 2018 Eleanor was welcomed back to her one, true heavenly home. Eleanor is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Ervin; her parents, Ivan & Gladys Hansen and son-in-law, Frank Harding. Eleanor is survived by her 4 children, Cindy Harding of Springfield, MO, Pam (Jim) Keller of Moberly, Shelly Haas and Mike Maiefski both of MN. Also surviving are her grandchildren Sara Chang, Paul Jeffries, Hogan Haas, Hunter Haas and Bryan Harding, as well as 3 great grandchildren, Mila, Adeline and Enda Chang. Eleanor is also survived by her 6 siblings, Donna (Sherwin) Stene, Lois Godiksen, Karen McPartland, James (Anniek) Hansen, Pat (Mike) Clarey and Lloyd Hansen. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Pius X Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Phil Niekamp officiating. There will be a family led memorial visitation at the church from 9:30a.m. until the time of service. Interment for Eleanor and her husband will be at a later date at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Springfield, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, c/o Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 are welcome and much appreciated.
