Elizabeth Faye Tindle, 93, of Moberly passed away Monday, April 4, 2016 at Moberly Nursing and Rehabilitation. Faye was born September 14, 1922 in Concordia, KS to Claude and Lena (Dotson) Nelson.
On October 28, 1941 she married Dewey Tindle in Hiawatha, KS. They relocated to Missouri in 1949. Faye was a 4-H Leader, school teacher, Sunday school teacher, member of the Thrift Extension Club, a farmer’s wife and a loving mother. She worked as an administrative secretary at the Moberly Correctional Center for over 15 years and was a devoted member of the Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church.
Those preceding Faye in death are her parents, her beloved husband, three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her children, Virginia (John) Bargar of Centralia and Jim (Irene) Tindle of Moberly; brother-in-law, Don Pille of Illinois; sisters-in-law, Jody Nelson of Minnesota and Sandi Nelson of Illinois; 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Services celebrating Faye’s life will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church with interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
