Elmer Hogarth, 82, of Moberly passed away Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Elmer was born to Claude and Irma (Blume) Hogarth on August 1, 1932 in Lamar, Colorado. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Elmer married Martha Ellen Andreae on November 27, 1955. He was so proud of the role he served as the Chief of Police in Huntsville and his police career. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Martha; and grandson, Cody. Elmer is survived by his children: Mary and Wilburn Holt of Huntsville, MO; Irma and Terry Smith of Liberty, MO; Edwin and Twila Hogarth of Queen City, MO; and LaBeth and Walter Dubbert of Madison, MO; 20 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Visitation will be held on Sunday August 10, 2014 from 4:00 p.m until 7:00 p.m at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. A graveside service requested by Elmer will take place on Monday, August 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m with Pastor Vic Comstock officiating at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Million Taylor Funeral Homes.
